No treasurer's report Bill K6KN reported on Field Day with Sacramento Amateur Radio Club. Robert KC6UDS reported on Western States - he was at Millers Defeat Checkpoint with Rick N6KLB and Kyle KB6OLL, ~370 runners passed. Rick N6KLB added that he had packet problems. It worked at first, then died, probably due to weather related propagation change. Tevis will be August 1. Dave KC6YFG reported on the June 13 class at UCD. Eight passed from the class, four came on Sunday for upgrades. Gary WA6TQJ announced UCD operator's training class, July 12, 1:00 p.m. at UCD EOC. He reports that UCD Repeater has arrived and that they are in contact with WA6TOW in pursuit of coordination. Dave KC6YFG reported that the Davis Bike Club donated $450. Robert KC6UDS moved that YARS give $75 to each of BARK, MVRC, Steve Dold, Konocti, and Walker. Gary WA6TQJ seconded. There was no discussion, motion was approved without objection. Gary WA6TQJ announced the Princess Promenade will be October 4 and he is looking for volunteers. The business portion of the meeting was closed at 2008 hrs. Following the business portion, Bill K6KN gave a presentation on coaxial antennas.
